The International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah
On this background, the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, Florida (USA), identified the potential of this sphere to develop into a unique and economically viable tourism and cultural resource for the north of Israel and the Jewish world and they decided to establish the
'International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah'.
The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County works in a strategic partnership with the Tzahar region (Tzfat, Hatzor Haglilit, Rosh Pinna) under the auspices of the "Partnership 2000" program of the Jewish Agency for Israel. Therefore, it is only natural that the focus of the new project's promotion and development should be concentrated in the historical area where Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism constitute the most important and unique resources: Tzfat and its environs.
The Jewish World
The Kabbalah is the spiritual and cultural asset and legacy of the Jewish People.
The International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah will allow Jews from all over the world to become familiar with this fascinating aspect of Jewish tradition in a pluralistic manner that can appeal to all ages.
In this sense, this is a national project of historical, Spiritual and cultural importance on the highest level.
The study of Kabbalah is suitable for non-Jewish audiences as well, as it is connected with the '7 Principals of Faith', which are taught in the Torah for all humanity.
The International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah will allow a completely authentic peek into the content of the Kabbalistic world, and will serve as a unique bridge and connection between the Jewish People and all the nations of the world, in tandem with the idea of being a "Light Unto the Nations".
The Organization: Planning and Development
The purpose of the International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah is to develop activities in the realm of Kabbalah in Tzfat in a very broad and international context, and to promote the recognition of Tzfat as the world capital of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism.
The organization intends to establish an international visitors’ center which will serve as the primary and central tourist attraction on Kabbalah, as well as a research institute to study the Tzfat Kabbalah. There will also be an international conference center and publishing house.
The International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah cooperates closely with Israeli government ministries, the municipality of Tzfat and other local authorities in the Galilee, the Tzfat College, spiritual organizations around the world, as well as a wide range of professionals who work in the field of Kabbalah and Jewish spirituality in Tzfat and the surrounding communities.
Many international and domestic organizations have already benefited from the International Center’s programs, and continue to turn to our Center whether directly or through international travel agents.
Even though the new Center has only been operating since the end of 2006, many thousands have already benefited and enjoyed its wide range of programs.
The International Center for Tzfat Kabbalah is managed by a registered non-profit association (registration number: 580479145).
The Center’s director, Rabbi Eyal Riess, is a famous figure in the field of Kabbalah in Tzfat. For the past 15 years, he has been managing a wide variety of Kabbalistic study frameworks and experiences in Tzfat, presenting and teaching the wisdom of Kabbalah to many thousands of visitors from all over the world, every year.
